“SIGHT AND SOUND”
Helen Keller lived in a world without sight or sound
But she did not let it drive her into the ground.
She was blind and deaf to hatred and greed,
She was unpolluted with the poison of creed,
And religious barbarians who deal in atrocity.
Helen was born with insight,
A tenacious instinct to fight
To gain her inner light
Which vanquished the eternal night.
Would that we all could do...
what was right...to fight
the good fight.
